Luxembourg

Today, we met relatives from the Klein side of those on our trip. Luxembourg is very beautiful. Many farms dot the country. They have lots of dairy cows and goats. We drove to Ettlebruck to met up with Annie Besenius. Annie is related to Shirley Kunkel from the Klein side. Annie took us to the original farm of the Kleins. We saw the church and school where he attended. Annie showed us her childhood home as well. After that, it was a trip to visit the church where the Kleins are buried. We saw many familiar local names from the Granville area. Next, Annie directed us to the blacksmith shop her brother owns and operates. They make many really neat pieces from candle sticks to bbq grills to spiral stair cases. They had prepared the shop for our visit with a videos, champagne, and pastries...it was neat. We toasted our hosts and off to lunch we went.
Lunch was at a very nice place in Ettlebruck.  We were served prosciutto(sp.) and melon. Salmon with vegetables covered I cream sauce. And, peach pie with real whipped cream. It was very tasty.
After,  we drove to Luxembourg City. It is the capital of the Grand Duchey of Luxembourg. You can tell there is a lot of money here. Banks from all over the world are here. Also, the European Union has offices here. Audi's, BMW's, and Porsche's seem to be the cars of choice. It is a neat city due to the mixture of old and new.
